The first month of 2010 is ending soon and I've finally found some leisure time to be sitting down and blog here. Sorry for the long update! Sigh. I've been kinda busy in spring cleaning seeing that CNY is just around the corner and also busy catching up with my studies and not forgetting, the sucky connection that I'm receiving from Streamyx which makes me unable to on9 for few days. Yes, I'm finally admitting that I'm addicted to on9-ing.

And I've finally watched Avatar! Was very reluctant to watch it at first as the blue freaks looks really freaky to me. But, I was somehow tempted to watch it by friends who have watched it and said it's nice! And, they're right! My first movie for the year and it's definitely a great one! Also it's my first time watching a 3-D movie and it was awesome although it makes my eyes tire a little at the end of the movie and I also need to keep holding on to the 3-D specs throughout the 3 hours movie. Even the storyline wasn't as boring or ordinary as some of my friends claimed. Hmm. And it's such a beautiful movie. Just lovee this movie. *beams*

There's so many nice movies that's coming out next month and I really want to watch them all! MY, jom go movie with me! :)
But my purse is sobbing already. And I still have another textbook to buy and its gonna cost me bout 100 bucks! Tsk. How very expensive. Think of how many movies I could have watched if there's no need for the textbook. sigh.

And the crazy CNY weather is driving me crazy too. Headaches are becoming a norm and now I'm having sore throat too. gahh.

Awaiting for a nicer February. *a great start seeing it's holiday tomorrow* :))

Wee! CMA lecturer is finally in! He looks like an experienced lecturer. Hopefully he's good. So I have one thing lesser to worry. For now. =))

Star light, star bright,

First star I see tonight,
I wish I will, I wish I might,
Have the wish I wished tonight.

*fingers crossed*

Third semester ^^

It's been a fortnight since I started my third semester and this semester would be a tougher one for me as I'll be taking 2 Year 2 subjects! Must do more revision already. Cannot let histories like what happened to my FOM n Business Law to repeat. tsk.

Supposedly I could have cleared all my Year 1 subjects but due to the wonderful timetable prepared by the management, the classes kept clashing and I ended up with two Year 2 subjects.

The subjects I'm taking for this semester :

1. Cost and Management Accounting
2. Malaysian Studies
3. Financial Accounting (Year 2)
4. Auditing 1 (Year 2)

Sadly, there's still no lecturer available for CMA class. I have more free periods now but hopefully that TBA fellow is coming in soon. I desperately need to take this subject as it's one of my core subjects in my course, or else I might not be able to take up some Year 2 subjects in the following semester.

Well, for Malaysian Studies, it was at first quite interesting as we are attending lectures that we have learned before in our secondary years. But entering the 2nd week, I felt that I have forgotten most of my History Studies. How on earth did I manage an A for my Sejarah? LOL.

Financial Acc 2 is slightly different and I find the syllabus is deeper compared to what we've learned in FA1. At least I can say I'm learning something now. Hopefully I can cope up with my lecturer's rapping skill.

Initially I wanted to take Company Law which is also a Year 2 subject. However, as I've mentioned earlier, the wonderful timetable has caused me to take another subject due to the constant change in my subjects timetable and so I dropped my Company Law and added Auditing 1. This is one subject I never had on my mind when I did my course selection. I had no plannings to take it so soon as I thought it would be a tough subject and I wanted to take it prolly in the coming semester. Hopefully my few months of working in audit firm would help me understand the subject better as this subject is mostly theory and alot of applications needs to be done in answering the questions. Desperately need to flip back my accounting notes already.

And I'm currently joining a newsletter in my uni, named Hailer. I'll be goin through a probation period for this semester. Finally I'm in some club. Has never been really active since I enrolled in this uni. Lol. Hopefully I can stay long in this club, not like some sleeping club I previously joined.

There's all for recent updates on my study life. Labor work. Hailer. Studies. I really must learn to manage my time better man. Gambate Wai Ling!

Farewell to bittersweet 2009

2010 is here! And that marks the end of my holiday and also the end to my working days.

Overall, 2009 had been a great long year filled with ups and downs : I worked at 3 different places, phones got stolen TWICE (I must add to my resolution list to not be so dumb this year. tsk), started my tertiary education in a whole new place and having met many nice people, great friends found, old friends still treasured and the year ended with a 1st year birthday celebration for my adorable baby nephew, Daniel on the last night of 2009. It has been a fantastic year indeed.

Looking forward to a greater 2010 for sure!

Despite it being part and parcel of life, farewells are never pleasant :(
